What is an electronic resource?
An electronic resource is any information source that the library provides access to in an electronic format.
The library has purchased subscriptions to many electronic information resources in order to provide you with access to them free of charge. Our E-Reources include lots of things: full-text journals, newspapers, company information, e-books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, economic data, digital images, industry profiles, market research, career information, etc.
Many of our databases allow you to create a personal profile in order to keep track of new content via email or RSS feeds. As a member of the UTEP community, you are provided with 24/7 access to our e-resources on campus or remotely via the library's proxy server or the UTEP campus VPN.
Questions or Problems?
If you are using the VPN and are having problems connecting to the network, contact the campus Help Desk or (915) 747-5257.
To report a technical problem with any of the Library’s electronic databases or e-journals, contact a member of the E-Resources Team. Telephone assistance is available between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., M-F, by calling either Lisa Borden at (915) 747-6709 or Jason Moore at (915) 747-6706. If no-one is available to take your call in person, please leave a message or send us an e-mail and we will respond to your query as soon as possible on the next business day.
