There are several ways to get your references into RefWorks
Here are a few:
- Importing directly from certain online database services that have a link to RefWorks from within their databases
- Importing text files containing references from online database services
- Manually entering references
RefWorks has a "direct import" feature within several online database
service providers including:
ABC-CLIO, CSA, EBSCOHost, EI Engineering Village2, NISC,
BiblioLine, OCLC First Search, Ovid, Project Muse, ProQuest, SFX
And more are being added all the time!
For more information on directly importing references into RefWorks, check out this tutorial. (text version)
Importing Text Files:
Most databases that do not support direct import into RefWorks will allow you to download a text file of a citation that can then be uploaded to RefWorks.
Manually Entering References:
If you are unable to import your reference by either ot the above methods, you can always enter your citation manually.
