I have an assignmnent where I have to watch a movie that is available at the library in the Media and Microforms Department. Can I check it out?

Answer

The Media & Microforms Department on the 1st floor has these videos. Videos/CDs/DVDs can be checked out for 5 days. For more information on circulation policies go to https://www.utep.edu/library/about/policies/circulation-policies.html

However, if the video you need to check out is in a format that you are not able to view at home (like a VCR cassette for example), OR if they are being shared by your entire class, you will have to view them at the library. In the Media & Microfilms, there are TVs and DVD players available so you can watch the films. You can also borrow headphones or bring your own. Up to 2 people can share a TV and there is also a viewing room where a group of 5 can watch a movie.

Please be aware that the hours for the Media & Microforms department are different from the main library.  Their hours are posted here
