Q. Do members of the Alumni Association have access to the library computers? Are members able to log on, use internet, and use software like Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite?
Are members able to log on, use internet, and use software like Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite?
The computers in UTEP labs (including in the Library) are accessible to current students, staff, and faculty only.
Recent UTEP graduates will continue to be able to log into the computers with their usernames and passwords and access software on those computers (like the Adobe Creative Suite, for example) for 1 year after graduation.
Members of the Alumni Association are welcome to access the Library's digital resources (e-books, databases, e-journals) using the Community User computers on the 2nd (entry) floor of the Library, which do not require a username or password.
Additionally, members of the Alumni Association do have specific privileges at the UTEP Library:
- ability to check-out 10 items from the Main Stacks or Government Documents collections
- Create a RefWorks account or maintain access to the one you created while you were a student (this tool can help you keep track of your sources)
For more information, please see Community User Services information page.
